“Walk in the Footsteps of Christ and Return with Testimonies” Executive Secretary NCPC TELLS INTENDING PILGRIMS

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Bishop Stephen Adegbite has charged intending Christian pilgrims to approach the holy pilgrimage with deep spiritual consciousness, urging them to walk in the footsteps of Christ and return with life-changing testimonies of faith.

The charge was delivered on his behalf by the Director of Administration, Mr. Abu Okpanachi, on Monday, 20th January 2026, during the airlift of the third batch of intending pilgrims from Imo and Borno State to Israel and Jordan.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Okpanachi described the intending pilgrims as privileged to undertake the sacred journey through the support of state governors, the Federal Government, and self-sponsored efforts. He reminded them that the pilgrimage was not designed for leisure or tourism but for spiritual renewal and a deeper walk with Christ.

He encouraged the intending pilgrims to make the most of the opportunity by seeking a genuine encounter with Christ as they follow His footsteps across the holy sites, praying that the spiritual benefits of the pilgrimage would manifest in their lives and culminate in enduring testimonies upon their return.

The Director of Administration further admonished the intending pilgrims to be their brothers' keepers by remaining vigilant, walking in groups, and watching out for one another throughout the journey. He also urged them to adhere strictly to instructions, assuring them that NCPC officials are on ground to guide, assist, and support them at every stage of the pilgrimage.

He concluded by praying for a spiritually rewarding journey, divine protection, and the safe return of all pilgrims to Nigeria with great testimonies, in fulfillment of the Executive Secretary's charge.
